Weekend flu shot clinics set at Navy sites

PORTSMOUTH – Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and its clinics are adding late afternoon and weekend hours for people who can’t get their flu shots during the week.
Oceana Branch Health Clinic – Saturday flu vaccine clinic on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The clinici also offers flu shots to walk-in patients from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m, Mondays and Tuesdays and from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Admiral Joel T. Boone Clinic, Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base – Starting Dec. 9, the clinic will offer extended hours for flu vaccines on Tuesdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Immunization Clinic (2nd floor of hospital) – Saturday flu vaccine clinic on Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Flu vaccines are also offered on a walk-in basis at these clinics and times:
Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Immunization Clinic: 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
Boone Clinic: 8 a.m.-noon, Mon.-Fri.
Sewells Point Clinic, Norfolk Naval Station: 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
Norfolk Naval Shipyard Clinic, Portsmouth: 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
FluMist nasal spray vaccine and the traditional injectible vaccine are available for all TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries.
