Norfolk woman arrested after six-year search by Va. Beach Police

VIRGINIA BEACH – Police say they caught a woman who’d eluded capture for six years.

Lorie Creekmore

A tip led police Sunday night at Suburban Bingo Hall, where they arrested Lorie Ann Creekmore of Norfolk.

Creekmore was wanted on 20 outstanding warrants in Va. Beach, Chesapeake and Newport News.

She faces charges in Va. Beach of obtaining money under false pretense, issuing bad checks and issuance of two or more bad checks within 90 days.

In Chesapeake, warrants were served forgery and in Newport news, Creekmore faces charges of forgery and obtaining money under false pretenses.

Investigators believe there are other people who’ve been victimized by Creekmore. If you have concerns, call your police department.
