PASQUOTANK CO, NC -- Authorities say they've solved a two-year old murder case.

Mary Carter, 29, of Elizabeth City, disappeared in August 2006 after her mother dropped her off in Kill Devil Hills.

Investigators hadn't been able to make an arrest until remains were found and identified earlier this month.

Authorities say Carter was killed in a camper trailer near that field and buried about a quarter-mile away in a farm field near the woods.

Evidence went to the Pasquotank County Grand Jury, which returned a true bill indictment Monday for Curtis Roch, 30.

Investigators say Carter and Roch were in a relationship at the time of her death.

Roch is in prison for an unrelated sex crime and will be charged with murder, according to authorities.
