VIRGINIA BEACH -- A man stole $1,500 worth of perfume from store that’d been open for just one week.
Surveillance cameras show him walking around Ulta Beauty in Landstown Commons for about an hour on Saturday. He’s seen talking to employees about services his mother might want and smells different fragrances as if he’s trying to select the right one.
In the end, he removes a bag from his pants and loads up.
Police say he took Chanel and Vera Wang scents, some of the most expensive in the store.
Employees say they didn’t realize anything was wrong until he pushed past two customers.
"At this point, our investigators are looking into eBay and Craigslist to see if he is trying to sell it. And if you see a guy who has some really good deals on some high-dollar perfume, you might want to give Crime Solvers a call because it might be our guy," recommended police spokesman MPO Adam Bernstein.
That number is 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
