VIRGINIA BEACH – A woman woke up to find a man with a knife standing over her.

After sexually assaulting her, he ran away from the Hornet Court home just after 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The man is about 6’ tall, had short hair and a medium build.  He was wearing a black jacket with silver thick stripes in the armpit area and on the front. Police said it could a “Raiders” style football jacket.

He had a black scarf over his nose and lower face, so the victim didn’t get a good description.

He also smelled of alcohol, police said.

Police didn't say how the man got into the victim's home.
