Read the indictment: Newport News man indicted on sex trafficking charges

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A Newport News man faces sex trafficking charges.
Federal authorities say Marvin Leigh Madkins, 28, recruited and transported two juveniles from Norfolk to Florida between April and June to engage in prostitution and commercial sex acts.
He’s charged with two counts of sex trafficking of minors, one count of transportation of minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
If convicted, he faces up to life in prison and a million dollar fine.
