New charges possible in Vick investigation
12:08 AM EDT on Monday, September 24, 2007
Michael Vick and his co-defendants could face additional charges, according to Commonwealth's Attorney Gerald Poindexter.
Poindexter said he hopes to hand down new dogfighting indictments against Vick and his three co-defendants after a grand jury meets Thursday.
There might be a delay in the indictments because Poindexter is waiting for federal investigaotrs to share forensic evidence.
The Commonwealth's Attorney said he plans to pursue animal cruelty and dog-fighting charges, using the defendants guilty pleas in federal court as prime evidence.
