PORTSMOUTH – Three people are charged in the murder of a homeless man last weekend.

Police say Jerry Carnell Chisholm, 53, and Jean Alghani, 55, also are homeless.

Chisholm is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Edward Bell, found dead on the sidewalk in downtown Saturday night.

Alghani is charged with accessory after the fact.

Late Thursday, police announced a third arrest. Samuel Eugene Lee, 57, of Princeton Place, is charged with accessory before the fact, a misdemeanor. 

His photograph wasn't released.

A motive for the killing hasn’t been released and police say they’re still waiting on autopsy results to determine how Bell was killed.
