Investigators say they found “assorted beers and liquors” inside and, after talking with Virginia Mintz Zimmerman, she admitted to selling alcohol, according to the report.

Zimmerman told 13News Reporter Lindsey Roberts, "It wasn't a big deal. Why I did it is I drink myself and I didn't want them to drink up all my stuff, so I said so I'll sell you a little bit if you want it because I want my own stuff."

Neighbors said it's well known that Zimmerman sold shots of liquor for $1.00 and cigarettes for a quarter.

They also say she's not the only person doing it.

Zimmer is free on a summons after being charged with misdemeanor illegal sale of alcoholic beverages and maintaining a common nuisance.

Her arraignment is set for July 31, according to the Suffolk General District Court online docket.
