10:54 AM EDT on Thursday, July 24, 2008
HAMPTON – A 17-year-old is charged after an argument led to gunfire Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the teen drove up to three people he knew outside a home on Granger Court just before 3:00 p.m.
The teen and a 20-year-old talked and then the man walked away. Police say that’s when the teen opened fire with a handgun and shotgun, striking the man in his leg and foot.
A 17-year-old and another 20-year old who’d been in the yard were grazed by pellet shots.
Shots also hit a car and the home.
The teen was arrested a short time later on charges including maiming and underage possession of a firearm.
