VIRGINIA BEACH – A man is charged with shooting his wife in their home earlier this month.

Jacob Johnson, 24, remains hospitalized but had a bond hearing in the hospital, police say.

He and his wife Kendra were found in their Seabreeeze Court home on the morning of July 18 after a family member knocked at the door, but no one answered.

Their children, ages two and four, were home at the time.  They’re now with relatives.

Mr. Johnson is charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm.

Mrs. Johnson was in critical condition.
