Intelligence Training Center to be dedicated to fallen soldier
08:48 PM EDT on Thursday, July 19, 2007
The Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center will dedicate a new facility for the training of Counter Intelligence/Human Intelligence Marines and Sailors Friday.
It will be dedicated in honor of Gunnery Sgt. Ronald Eric Baum, who was killed in Iraq in May of 2004.
The goal of Baum Hall is to help meet a growing need for a greater number of spcialists in this area in the Navy and Marine Corps.
Two of the courses to be featured at the facility will be the Marine Air/Ground Task Force Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence Basic Course and the Naval Ground Intelligence Course. Both are designed to increase the intelligence capabilities of those who take the courses to better meet ground commanders' needs.
