VIRGINIA BEACH – Two young children were home when a man and woman were shot Friday morning.

Police say a family member knocked at the door of the Springbreeze Court home around 8:00 a.m. and called for help when no one answered.

The husband and wife were taken to the hospital and were in critical condition at Sentara Va. Beach General Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.

According to police, they are not looking for suspects at this time.

The boy and girl, ages two and four, were with neighbors while Child Protective Services gets to the scene.
