NORFOLK – The fiancée of a murdered Navy officer talks exclusively to 13News as she pleads for help to catch the killer.
Lt. Todd Cox was shot three months ago as he walked on Beverly Avenue with Megan and two of their four children near DePaul Hospital.
Without warning, a man drove by in a pick-up truck, then turned around and stopped behind them.
Megan recalls Cox pushing her to the ground and then hearing gunfire.
Lt. Cox was hit and died at the hospital.
"I think the kids are doing the best that they can, um, nobody feels comfortable until we know what happened, who did it, why, but it's a nightmare everyday," she said.
She says she met Cox about three years ago and had been engaged just about a month when he was killed.
Police and Naval Criminal Investigative Service are offering rewards of up to $1000 each for information in the killing.
