CHESAPEAKE -- One of two men shot late Sunday night has died.

Darius Taylor, 23, of the 2500 block of Gilmerton Road, and his brother Michael were shot outside the Deep Creek Crossing Apartments on Gilmerton Road around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. 

A neighbor told 13News the men were shot inside the apartment; another woman went to help, grabbing towels in an effort to stop the bleeding.

The brothers were taken to the hospital; Darius died hours later; Michael is in good condition.

Medics rushed the men to Sentara Norfolk General while police began looking for evidence and possible suspects.

While it's unclear what led up to the shooting, investigators determined that two suspects were involved.
