Fire damaged this Va. Beach restaurant.

Fire damaged a Va. Beach restaurant early Wednesday.

Callers reported seeing smoke coming from the back of Rose’s Caribbean Restaurant on Baker Road at Weblin Square.

Firefighters quickly put out the flames, but the restaurant and several businesses in that suite were damaged by the heavy smoke.

No one was hurt.

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the fire that started just after midnight.

They say something ignited inside the restaurant and flashed, pushing out some of the bricks on the back wall.
