Va. Beach Police say man robbed people in car

VIRGINIA BEACH – Police say a man robbed two people getting out of a car last night.

It happened just before 11:00 p.m. in the 1100 block of Riviera Dr.
Police say Patrick Goff approached them, pointed a gun and demanded money and the woman’s purse.
They say he fired into the floor of the vehicle and didn’t hurt anyone.
An officer responding to the scene says he saw items on the ground and arrested Goff nearby.
Investigators say Goff’s gun was recovered.
He’s charged with two counts of attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
