VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police arrested a man after a trip from constructions workers led them to the suspect.

From Virginia Beach Police

Kevin Leon Smith

Around 1:14 a.m., workers say they spotted 36-year-old Kevin Leon Smith in one of their co-worker's vehicles on the 1800 block of Laskin Road. When police arrived, they found him inside another vehicle nearby.

Police say Smith had a great deal of property in his possession when they arrested him. They say it was all stolen.

Additionally, police say Smith broke into a vehicle on April 6th and stole a credit card which he allegedly used that same day at a 7-Eleven store.

Smith faces charges of credit card theft, credit card fraud, attempt to commit a non-capital offense, two counts of identity fraud and two counts of tampering with a vehicle.

He is currently in the Virginia Beach Correctional Facility, held without bond.
