Fire destroys oceanfront home in Avon, NC

AVON, NC – Fire destroyed an Oceanfront home in Dare County, North Carolina.
Fire investigators say no one was home when fire swept through the home at 41439 Ocean View Drive in Avon.
The fire caused $630,000 damage.
Crews from the Avon Volunteer Fire Department and the Buxton, Frisco and Salvo Volunteer Fire Departments fought the fire for more than an hour.
A nearby home was evacuated as a precaution.
The fire is under investigation.
