Suffolk woman convicted of animal cruelty
03:13 PM EDT on Wednesday, April 15, 2009
SUFFOLK – A woman was convicted of animal cruelty and is banned from owning animals again, according to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
13News first reported on the case in mid-February.
A harness was put on the pup and, as he grew, the harness wasn't removed, PETA said.
PETA says it got the dog in mid-December so the harness could be surgically removed.
Now named Buxton, the pup continues to recover after being adopted by a Hampton couple.
