A man who pleaded guilty to robbing eight banks last year was sentenced
to 15-years in prison and ordered to pay $45,926 restitution.
Marvin Maurice Daniel Jr. had pleaded guilty in Norfolk federal court on
January 3.
During his robbery spree, he would go into a bank, imply he had a weapon
and would use it if he didn't get the cash.
He was captured on August 13, several hours after a Chesapeake bank
robbery, when an officer spotted his car that matched the description of
the getaway vehicle.
