Fire destroyed Bloxom's AZ furniture store and the heat melted a fire truck's back-up lights.

BLOXOM – Fire lit up the dark early Thursday on the Eastern Shore.

Bloxom's AZ used furniture store in Accomack County was destroyed by fire.

Crews from about a dozen fire stations along the shore were called to the scene at 145326 Bayside Drive around 3:00 a.m.

At one point, the fire was so intense that heat melted the backup lights on the fire truck.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
