Sheriff: Marijuana found in package sent to NC from Arizona

GATES CO., NC – A package containing marijuana headed to Gates Co. was stopped in Va. Beach, authorities say.
Sheriff Ed Webb said Virginia Beach officers contacted him after a K-9 unit discovered the illegal drug in a package at the Federal Express terminal.
Webb said the package, sent from Arizona, contained 2.7 pounds of marijuana worth about $20,000.
A North Carolina officer then went undercover, posing as a Fed Ex employee, and delivered the package to the address on the package.
D eandre Cofield was arrested after signing for the package, Sheriff Webb stated.
Cofield is in jail on a $10,000 secure bond.
