Suspects sought in mob beating

HAMPTON -- Police are asking for help identifying suspects in a maiming by mob.
Around 8:01 p.m. Monday, police say a group approached a 58-year-old Hampton man as he rode his bicycle on Settlers Landing Road near the intersection of Stewart Street. The group reportedly pulled the man off the bicycle, threw him to the ground and hten repeatedly kicked and hit him in the face.
The victim was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a broken jaw, multiple lacerations and contusions about his face and head. Police say the injuries are not life-threatening.
The suspects may be juveniles and were all wearing black and/or red, accorind to the witness. They were last seen walking down Stewart Street toward Queen Street.
