One toddler dead, another taken to hospital following search

DARE COUNTY - A search for two missing toddlers turned tragic, when one died at a Nags Head hospital. Meanwhile, the second toddler is recovering at CHKD.
It happened in Manns Harbor, N.C. Sgt. Terry Ballance of Dare County Police tells 13News that police received a call Friday afternoon for two missing children, ages 18 months and two years.
The two children were later found in a neighbor's vehicle. Medics rushed the 18-month-old to The Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head, but that toddler died. The two-year-old was taken to CHKD in Norfolk. No word on that child's condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
