SUV crashes into hotel, hits gas line in Suffolk

SUFFOLK – Traffic was detoured for most of Wednesday morning as crews worked to contain a gas leak.
It happened around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of North Main Street when an SUV hit the Roadway Inn and ruptured a gas line, according to officials.
City spokeswoman Debbie George says the line had to be dug up before repairs could begin.
The gas line was secured around 11:15 a.m., allowing traffic back into the area.
