11: 45 p.m. UPDATE: Commonwealth Drive between Victory Boulevard and Kiln Creek Parkway has been shut down as authorities conduct their investigation, fire officials said.

YORK COUNTY -- A box truck erupted into flames in Yorktown Wednesday morning. 

Emergency personnel received the call of the fire at the intersection of Commonwealth Driver and Arthur way around 9:45 a.m., accprding to York County Fire Chief Paul Long. 

One witness told 13News Now the truck was completely engulfed within seconds. 

"We saw a truck on fire. Loud popping noises coming from the truck. one of the tires blew away from the truck," he said. 

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within about 20 minutes. Nobody was hurt during the ordeal. 

It is still unclear what caused the fire. An investigation is now underway.
