NEW YORK  -- By the looks of their latest unveiling, Harley Davidson's certainly breaking the mold -- or, maybe just desperately trying to keep up with the times.

The American manufacturer unveiled the company's first electric motorcycle. Dubbed 'Project LiveWire,' the bike has raised eyebrows throughout the industry, as Harley Davidson's mantra rarely deviates from the fundamentals of motorcycles: big growls and muscled frames.

Harley Davidson will be embarking on a 30-city tour to gauge consumer interest. Shortly after the announcement of LiveWire, Davidson's stock rose significantly.
