ACCOMACK COUNTY -- Another fire in Accomack County has been ruled arson.

According to police spokesperson, Michelle Anaya, the fire was burning at an abandoned structure in the town of Pungoteague late Thursday night.

There have been about three dozen arsons since the first was reported Nov. 13th.

The latest fire damaged an unoccupied outbuilding on Cassatt Avenue in Parksley on Saturday night.

The building sustained some structural damage but was not a total loss, said Anaya.

No one has been injured and all the structures have been abandoned.

Investigators believe most cases are the work of the same person.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest/conviction.  Anyone with information can call Virginia State Police at 1-800-582-8350 or (757) 424-6820 or the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office at (757) 787-1131.
