FRANKLIN - Two of three people wanted for a murder in Franklin are under arrest.

29-year-old Rowan D. Bruff and a 17-year-old Emporia boy were arrested November 14 for the Nov. 8 murder of Eric Dewayne Smith.

Police are still looking for the alleged shooter Sol Damacus Burke, aka “Dukey,” who lives in Suffolk.

The teen is charged with murder and other charges; Bruff is in jail on an accessory after the fact to murder charge, said police spokesman Lt. Tim Whitt.

Smith, 30, was shot in his home in the 300 block of Pearl Street. He died at the hospital.

Whitt says they believe that the victim knew Burke.

If anyone has information on Burke's whereabouts you are encouraged to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
