Franklin arrest
FRANKLIN - A man was arrested Wednesday morning on child sex crimes charges.
Police say 53-year-old David Laine Stith allegedly molested a girl between September and November.
Her mother said her daughter's behavior had changed and during a conversation, the girl told her what had happened, said Lt. Tim Whitt.
Stith was arrested at his Pretlow Street home around 7:40 a.m. on charges of rape and sodomy of a child under age 13, taking indecent liberties and possession of cocaine.
Police didn't release information about the child to protect her identity.
