ACCOMACK COUNTY - Fire destroyed an abandoned building in Accomack County Sunday night, the 76th intentionally-set fire in the county since mid-November 2012.

Authorities say the two-story wood building in the 24400 block of Drummondtown Road in the Town of Accomac was near the road and surrounded by vegetation.

Firefighters and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations remained on the scene well after the 9:30 p.m. call.

On March 5, someone burned down a building near the intersection of Drummondtown and Wachapreague roads. That was the 63rd arson in the county.

There are about 600 abandoned buildings in the county, authorities say.

Anyone with information about these arsons can call or text the hotline: 757-655-1437.  There's a $25,000 reward.
