Father of IOW abduction victim tells 911, "Thank God he returned her"

CARROLLTON -- Isle of Wight County has released 911 audio following the alleged abduction and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl waiting at her school bus stop near Carrollton on October 2.

Police continue to appeal to the public for information that may lead to an arrest.

The FBI and investigators with with National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are all assisting in the investigation. 

The Sheriff's Office also released what they believe are images of the suspect's car the day of the abduction.

911 Recording:

911: “911 what is your emergency?”

Caller: “My daughter was abducted, potentially raped, and they returned her. She called me at around noon, I was expecting her at school, picked up the phone, house seems to be secure, can you please send somebody down now.”

911: “How old is she?”

Caller: “She’s eleven.”

911: “Ok.”

911: “Is she with you now?”

Caller: “She is with me now, she’s been able to get me a pretty good description (unintelligible).”

911: “Can you tell me where she was or…”

Caller: “She was going to the school bus stop. She told me that a stranger drove up, said get in the car, she said no, she was screaming at the top of her lungs, and um, she screamed at the top of her lungs, and she said she has a pretty decent description of a white Chevy coupe that she was in, but thank God he returned her.”
