Police chase leaves 2 dead

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Two people were killed after crashing a car during a police chase.

Henrico County police Lt. D.D. Engels says a downtown Richmond business was robbed around 11 p.m. Friday, and when police attempted to stop the suspects they fled. Engels did not know the type of business that was robbed.

Engels says both Richmond and Henrico County police pursued the suspects, who ran off the road and struck a utility pole in Henrico County.

Police have not yet identified those who were killed.

Richmond police are investigating the robbery. Henrico police are handling the crash investigation.
