WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — BB&T bank based in Winston-Salem has a new president.
Area media outlets report that Ricky Brown was appointed the new president on Wednesday.
He replaces Rob Greene, who retired earlier this year. Greene had served as president of the bank since BB&T's 1995 merger with Southern National Corp. in Winston-Salem.
Brown has had a 37-year career with the bank. He has served as served as president of community banking for BB&T Corp for the past decade and will continue to hold that post.
Prior to that he served in various positions with the bank, including regional vice president for the Charlotte area.
