WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — A new forensic tool has helped convict a 37-year-old South Carolina man in a 2001 rape.

Tyrone Lamont Holloway was found guilty by a Williamsburg jury Wednesday in the abduction and rape of a young Hungarian woman who had been working at Busch Gardens.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/19XhdfV ) reports that the crime remained unsolved until last year. That's when a familial DNA search by the Virginia Department of Forensic Science suggested the assailant was the brother, father or son of a man whose DNA profile was in the state's offender databank.

The familial search was the tip that led the Williamsburg police to Marion, S.C., where Holloway lived. Holloway said he spent most of his life in Williamsburg before moving away a couple of years ago.
