RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Gasoline prices in Virginia have declined an average of four cents per gallon over the past week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of unleaded gas was $3.16 on Sunday, down from $3.20 the previous week. However, it was three cents more than the same date a year ago.

Prices averaged $3.03 in Roanoke, $3.13 in Charlottesville, $3.14 in Richmond and $3.19 in the Norfolk area.

The national average was $3.23, down from $3.26 last week and $3.27 a year ago.
