WOODSTOCK, Va. (AP) — A northern Virginia man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in the rapes of two Shenandoah County girls during a 2006 gang party.
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli announced Wednesday the sentencing of 24-year-old Harold Brian Guanilo-Cueva in Shenandoah County Circuit Court. The former Arlington resident is the last of five gang members to be sentenced for the rapes.
The rapes stemmed from a November 2006 meeting of the South Side Locos gang in Woodstock. Following the meeting, two 15-year-old girls arrived at the home where they were given large amounts of alcohol that rendered them unconscious. Gang members then sexually assaulted the girls.
Four other gang members received sentences ranging from eight to 20 years.
