VIRGINIA BEACH - Hurricane Sandy forced the Romney-Ryan campaign to cancel Sunday night's rally with GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
In an email to the media, the campaign said, "With safety being our top priority, Sunday’s rally in Virginia Beach has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date."
His wife, Anne, is campaigning in Hampton Road Friday. She was meeting with military families at 11:30 a.m. in Va. Beach and then headed to Williamsburg for an event at The Peanut Shop of Wiliamsburg at 1:35 p.m.
From there, Mrs. Romney was to visit St. Joseph's Villa for Children in Richmond at 3:10 p.m.
On the Democratic side, Saturday's rally with Vice President Joe Biden, his wife and son, is still on at Landstown Middle School.
