NORFOLK-Thousands of people were thrilled to get a ticket to see President Barack Obama speaking at Norfolk State University on Tuesday.

Monique White made the trip from Hampton.

"I cant imagine who else I would support. All the other candidates, they aren't saying anything that's motivating me and makes me think that they want to take care of me and others like me. President Obama is the only candidate that speaks to my heart," she said.

For some voters, this election is about working together.

"What we need to do is vote people in that will be cooperative both Democrat and Republican. It's a whole lot bigger than Obama," stated David Pharr of Norfolk.

Some people waited in line for five hours to see the president and hear him fire up his supporters.   The partisan crowd left with one focus  - getting to the polls to vote.
