NORFOLK
McCain to campaign Saturday in Hampton Roads
04:53 PM EDT on Tuesday, October 28, 2008
NORFOLK – Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) will campaign in Hampton Roads this Saturday.
It will be his second visit this month.
Details of the visit haven’t been finalized, said Gail Gitcho with the McCain campaign.
McCain was in Va. Beach on October 13 with his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska).
Virginia, normally a firmly Republican state in presidential elections, is now a battleground. Many polls show Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) with a solid lead in the Commonwealth and specifically in Hampton Roads.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4.
