8/19 UPDATE: WVEC.com received a copy of a text alert from EVMS that was sent out Tuesday morning.

"At 9:30, 8/19/14, suspect of a sexual assault reported 8/8/14 was observed at Mowbray Arch & Pembroke Ave.  Suspect : W/M;5'6"-5'8"; 20's; beard:
check emails.  Please notify Norfolk Police @ 911 or EVMS Police & Public-Safety @ 446-5911 if suspect is seen. You are advised to stay alert to your surroundings and if believe you are being followed, go immediately to a public place and contact Law Enforcement.

NORFOLK -- Police say a woman was sexually assaulted twice by the same man Friday morning.  

The first attack happened as she walked near Colley Ave. and Brambleton Ave. around 8:30 a.m., said Officer Daniel Hudson.

She got away after the assault and was attacked again about 20 minutes later when she got to the railroad overpass at 21st Street at Hampton Blvd., he added.  He took off towards the 900 block of 21st Street when she started screaming.

Police released this description of the attacker: white, medium build, is in his mid to late 20s and is 5'6" to 5'8" tall with bushy, sandy brown or blond hair and a bushy beard, wearing a royal blue track suit with white stripes.
