PORTSMOUTH --Two men are recovering after someone stabbed them early Saturday morning at London Oaks Apartments.
A man, speaking on condition of anonymity, told 13News Now somebody stabbed him around 12:30 a.m. as he tried to protect his friend during a fight in the complex, located, in part, along Virginia Avenue.
"I came downstairs and noticed that it's somebody that I knew, that was going through something and I kinda just jumped in," the man said.
The man, who had just been released from the hospital with a stapled arm, says the attacker was wielding a butcher knife.
"I just tried to shield him from the attacks and in the process of shielding him I got stabbed," explained the man.
When officers arrived on scene, the person with the knife was gone.
The other stabbing victim is expected to recover.
