Golf tournament will benefit homeless at The Dwelling Place

PORTSMOUTH -- The 11th Annual Dwelling Place Golf Classic is set for Thursday, May 22 at Elizabeth Manor Golf & Country Club in Portsmouth.

Golfers will be supporting efforts to meet critical housing and employment needs as well as counseling, education, and life skills of those at the Dwelling Place.

Organizers hope to raise $50,000 to support the 25-30 children, average age 9, who sleep each night at The Dwelling Place, and who make up 86% of the residents.

The event will include a four-player, captain’s choice tournament, range balls, individual player gift bag, lunch, and 19th-hole reception.
