In your Consumer Minute ,there's good news at the gas pump.  Prices are dropping to numbers we haven't seen in a whil, plus it's expected to continue to fall through the end of the year.
Check out the gas prices on Southside Hampton Roads.
For prices on the Peninsula, here's the link for that.

When it comes to holiday shopping, big retailers are hoping to reel you in early. That's why they are offering "Black Friday"-type deals right now.  Check out the Black Friday Ads link and be sure to check it out daily as the deals are updated.

47-million Americans are being affected by Federal Government cuts to the food stamp program.  Under the program a family of four received $668 per month.  As of last Friday those benefits will be cut by $36.  That has food banks around the country bracing for an influx of people coming in for help.  Seniors, children, the disabled and veterans are expected to be among those hardest hit.
