120131-N-XK513-061 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 31, 2012) -- Sailors and Marines prepare an AH-1Z Cobra helicopter from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, VMM 261, (Reinforced), 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), for flight operations onboard amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) during Certification Exercise (CERTEX). CERTEX is the final qualification for the 24th MEU and Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group before their scheduled spring deployment.
