Outgoing USS Harry S Truman commanding officer Rear Admiral-select Dee Mewbourne and incoming C.O. Capt. Robert Roth cut a cake shaped like the aircraft carrier, following their change of command ceremony on the ship at Naval Station Norfolk.

NORFOLK --  Captain Robert Roth was made the permanent Commanding Officer of USS Harry S. Trumen in a change of command ceremony Thursday..

Captain Dee Mewbourne stepped in as commander in 2011 after the sudden death of Captain Tushar Tembe.

Captain Tembe's autopsy showed he likely died of a heart condition.

Captain Mewbourne will head to Illinois to serve as commander of a naval service training command.

Following the ceremony, Rear Admiral-select Dee Mewbourne and incoming C.O. Capt. Robert Roth cut a cake shaped like the aircraft carrier.
