CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- New Hampshire military officials say an Army officer from Milford has died at Fort Eustis.

Army Spc. Jared Davison died Sept. 4 and the cause of his death is still under investigation.

Davison, who was stationed at the post in Newport News, was serving as a watercraft engineer. The 24-year-old was a 2006 graduate of Milford High School. He attended Norwich Academy in Vermont and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

His parents -- Paula and James Davison of Milford -- said he was working toward a promotion to sergeant at the time of his death.
