MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) -- The Navy released the names of two airmen who died when their helicopter crashed over the weekend

Killed were: Lt. Cmdr. Landon L. Jones, 35, of Lompoc, Calif., and Chief Warrant Officer Jonathon S. Gibson, 32, of Aurora, Ore.

They died Sept. 22, as a result of an MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter crash. Both sailors were assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Six at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, Calif.

Three crew members were rescued late Sunday after the MH-60S Knighthawk went down while operating with the destroyer USS William P. Lawrence,which is homeported in San Diego, California.

The Navy says an investigation is underway, but there was no hostile activity involved.
