It’s official: Navy leaders approved wearing ball caps with NWUs for the first time.

The new rules released Tuesday allow command ball caps as an optional replacement for the eight-point covers. They can be worn with the blue-and-gray, desert and woodland NWU versions.

What do you think of the move — well deserved or ill-advised?

Do you feel ball caps will boost command pride, or do they lack professionalism, as officials have long argued?

Do you prefer wearing your command or “NAVY” ball cap?

What other uniform policies would you like to see changed and how?
